Soooo quick question I've been offered a pair of snowflake clowns (which to me look more like gladiators) anyway with these little clowns being juveniles would i be able to add the other pair safely? I know that two females won't mix but I'm under the impression that if these are juvenile males they wont change with a female already in the tank?

Are the snowflake juveniles as well,or a breeding pair?
If there all young can't see a problem. Can only try.

I don't think they are a breeding pair but i think they have been together for 12months so possibly a male and a female

Think I'm going to pass on them and just keep the ones I've got in there instead of tempting fate..

Today's FTS more corals needed!! Haha added some zoas from a friend who was shutting down and well they wasn't happy in his tank and after I tested the salinity of his water it was well over 1.030... so they havent fully opened yet but hopefully they will settle now.

Soooo today's tasks was to fit the 3 new blue plus bulbs from iquatics to my t5 unit and remove the whites it's looking very blue and pleasing to the eye but taking a picture is damn near impossible haha I'm tempted to order a purple and a couple 50/50 white and blue to add to it see what it looks like... second job was to find a smaller pump to run this rowaphos in a reactor! Managed to find an old ehiem pump which is working a treat! Oh and lastly I silicone a brace across the sump to attach a light onto for the Refugium when i get some algea from somewhere

Went and got a couple new corals today a rock of Yuma mushrooms not sure of the name/variety but they are lovely kinda deep red and blue almost, and I picked up a frag of Rasta Zoas one of my Favourites and I've never owned them before. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Well the yumas are doing ok 3 out of the 4 are bleached I'm putting it down to the t5s but looking better now they are under a shelf, one of them is still perfect, I've also noticed a couple Aiptasia one large-ish on my GSP colony and a tiny one on the other side of the tank on a small rock so going to try and remove them soon.

This is an OH #### post... seems like my lovely yuma mushrooms came with an added surprise! Flatwoms. Must have only been a couple on the rock as it's took a few weeks for them to appear and they are only on that rock and the one above them and a couple on the sand. I dipped them and the rock above and killed off about 30-50. Just going to have to keep an eye on the tank. It's my own fault it was only a couple weeks before I bought the mushrooms that I was at the same LFS and seen a couple tank full of flatworm.. stupid impulse buying at its finest so I'm on the look out for a couple wrasse now aswell sooner rather than later.

I had a yellow coris wrasse in my last tank for a couple years he was the boss of the tank and a beast for flatworms however he also loved stomatella snails he used to smash them off the rocks to remove the shell then eat them... I've always loved wrasses
