Bubble magus curve 5 skimmer
And a jacod dcp 6500 for return (turned down)
Will be adding phosphate reactor and carbon.. also toying with the idea of pearls for the nitrates as im going to be going down the dosing route with this new tank once I get my head around it all.

Tank seems to have settled quite well and I'm pretty chuffed with it so far I still need to pick up a few bits, test kits mainly and little things like nets, long handled grabbers that sort of stuff. My only gripe with it is the noise of the water getting back into the sump! The durso overflow method is a PITA!! The joys of a single overflow I'm sure I will get used to it.

Yeah I'm on my lowest setting on the Jabeo dct6500 and TBH when setting up the tank the original plumbing for the overflow snapped at the bulkhead so i replaced it with 32mm stuff and its a little smaller diameter so i think I've lost abit there aswell, I've got it running pretty silent now with a couple mods here and there I can hear the skimmer over the returning water now so that a bonus! Overall I'm chuffed with the tank it's a really good tank well built and pretty good quality!, my last 4ft was a custom built tank and the quality compared to this was shocking!.

was gutting stripping mine down

really liked it

do you have the fixed return pipe into the sump ?

that to me was the only fault

Yeah when i re-made the plumbing I just copied the original design apart from the return pump I've gone with soft tubing all the way to the bulk head, but I'm toying with the idea of turning that into an emergency Drain and plumbing the return back over the top of the tank.

I put a flexible pipe from b&q into a sock so I could swop the sock without turning the flow off

I'm running floss at the moment but I've purposely not glued any of the plumbing after the 90° elbow after the bulkhead so i can make any alterations and also so i can remove the plumbing without cutting pipes
