No good news really on the tank at the minute.
Seems to be taking a beating really. LPS dying off. Algae is driving me mad to get rid of the last of it. Some more of my zoa have died due to the hair algae and have lost my 6 line. All fish are eating well other than this.
Check everything last night:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5
Phos 0.02
KH 8.3
MAG 1380
CAL 440
PH 8.2
TEMP 25.6 c

I have no idea what the hell is going on but i am about ready to pack it in now as i am losing more and more money each day with high end zoa dying. I have about 60 frags coming start of july but the way it is at the minute i dont know if i will bother my azz putting them in the tank :-( its a cruel hobby this at times :-( sent off water for icp test to see whats going on.

Get a sea hare in your tank as i said asap. Keep your levels low as they are. Did you lower your light schedulle? Random fish death happens.... but nothjng should be dying with levels as you just put. Also hit tank with a 20% change. Only way to control haor algae outbreak imo is sea hare and less light pal. Chin up. You know what ive been through lately

Cheers boys i am trying tp stay positive but when you loose about 1500 pound worth of zoa in 2 weeks it becomes a bit disheartening .
Will see what the icp test brings. As screwed up as it sounds i hope i get something bad to maybe highlight a problem i am missing. Scott seahare ordered but unfortunately in norway everything takes longer. I sold some zoa yesterday to stop me losing them , cleaned all frags and fella came around last night so some money recouped , mind you i just put it down on my new tattoo lol

I feel your pain - lost my precious Utter Chaos Zoas in similar circumstances (i.e. GHA :sigh:).

I've come up with a new regime to combat this menace, which I will be putting in place over the next week (external filter has been ditched, macro algae will be growing soon and phos reactor will be a go!).

Be careful not to strip all the phos out of your system . Fuge will consume some also but mostly nitrates

There was a handful in the return section. Thats where ro fills into so i am guessing it could be from that. I am close to pulling the lot apart. Algae driving me mad. Will see what icp test says
