Other reason I don't like egg crate is non of the mega reefs I se use it.
well I'm not sure what to do with the egg crate yet its not like normal egg crate its like a table so creatures can still get under with out the risk of the rock tumbling got the pumps on to mix up the salt as i have not got enough ro to fill the sump up plus i need to alter it but can't get any information on how to suit the triton method lights have been on and there not to bad to be honest pumps were noisier but think tank draining is going to take place the weekend
Cool. So you want to convert the sump to triton?
There is a guy on ultimate reef who did it. I think he just removed the baffles that create the first chamber. Have a Google and it should come up. You just need a fuge to be at least 10% of total volume I think.
No expert though.
cheers mate nice one i keep googling with no joy may have a look on the ultimate reef to be fair
I'll find it and PM you the link hang on
You have commented on it! Haha pm link. Read his first post v
sorry yh going triton route
Loving how the radions connect to the vortechs automatically and control both lights from the one and put the powerheads in feed mode from the lights clever stuff man cant wait for the release of the vortech controllable pumps
The returns? Taking pre orders now I think. Though I can't really see the point. Just a return!
Looking good nice progress mine will take a while lot of diy in store.
I have started a tank diary link is in my signature.
Thanks for posting your progress.
Will be following mark just be nice to be able to control my pump powerhead and lights all at the same place and from phone or mac
True but I can't see why you would ever adjust your return pump? Nice looking bit of kit though.
Feeding ? And to shut it off on water change and to adjust flow to your required flow
ok was due to add more water today but in the middle of the night the water butt decided to take a tubule so no ro today
What the butt fell over mate , did you have it on stand , was hoping you would have had filled mate
I don't turn off my pumps to feed personally. Once I have the required flow it doesn't change and I use a reefloat for water changes. So guess it all depends on how you operate the tank really. They look smart I know that! Haha but my £65 jecod is the business.
i was hoping to have it filled today to mate yh it was on a stand but it snapped in half oh dear
Hi merser i have the jecod myself the dc4000 im going to post the pics of my equipment in a bit im thinking of an auto changer to be fair how you find it?
Water making in progress
Yes I can see the damage mate where it broke must had got one a bit dodgy not had a probe at all with mine although I have mine indoors in a corner maybe walls are keeping it together , anyways good luck with the fill mate , thinking of getting dct-4000 myself to replace the ocean runner that's on mine now , I have heard various reports on noise level some say noisy and others whisper quiet ,merser says his is very quiet so fingers crossed if I get one I'm hoping same
