Tonight, I think the colour's improved.

It grown, but lost colour, although recently it looks a bit Pinker.

the monti has improved in colour, move the hystrix higher towards the light. I have two in my tank one mid and one high, high one is 6" down and is loads pinker. The other is mid so 12-18" down and brown with pink tinge

I might try that, I have room to move it.

It is under a 150watt halide though.

mines under tripple 250w as it happens my lower one is today showing a little improvement colour wise, hystrix love high lighting. I have had both hystrix's the same amount of time and the lower not so colourful one has grown quicker. Both were frags from the same mother colony

Thanks Dan, I have moved the Birds Nest higher up the tank so I'll post some pictures if there is ant improvement in colour.

Mostly............!!, I'm happy with the growth, just not so much with the colour of the birds Nest, but I'm hoping that will improve now it's been move higher up the tank.

Only time will tell.

I'm wondering if it looks Pinker because it's closer to the halide???.....surly it can't be improving in colour in just a few days?
