Got all my measurements sorted for the glass and contacted Poseidon to get quote. he was bit tricky to get hold of to be honest so not a great start but now i have spoken to him i realise that he has a 9-5 job and the tank building is what he does from home, so, any of you that need to contact him, after 5pm would be the time to do it ;) ive not put the bracing on the main tank as i will be leaving this to jez. i will be sorting out any bracing for the sump.

so heres the images i have sent him.

Shame to see you old system, but your new start looks very promising. Nice size tank as well.

cheers chap. its a nice shape to i think with plenty of width to it so i was thinking of having a solid background on the 2 back sides. just dont know how to go about it. ideally i would like to use a material that i can sculpt and im thinking of using cement, as im sure ive seen that used in the past. another idea is too alpha grog but to me it looks a little too unnatural.

It sticks out a little on one side but this will be sorted before the tank goes on. I sent an email to Jez at poseidon palace for a total quote for both tanks with the discount on wednesday so just waiting to here back from him on that so i can get the deposit paid and get the ball rollling:dance:

ive still got to clean this frame up, get the ends filled an then spray it. also need to whack some plasterboard up and start fitting the electrics:cool:

still no word from Jez at poseidons-palace.co.uk

anyway, heres my new idea. i decided to do it like this after reading billylongpocketshortarms thread billys-poseidon-adventure

its not quite the same idea but it just game me inspiration Big Thumbs Up

im going to move the coner tank out in to the waiting room by about 2 foot or so, thus giving me space to the right hand side to make a "little" cupboard. this will give me space to put all my electrics instead of having them on the other side of the brick wall which would prob drive me nuts anyway. i will also have somewhere to store my small step ladder and will have an area for my water change tubs and salt buckets etc... i may even put a little sink in here too:lol:
