    I have ordered some mild steel box profile for the frame today, my first £100 spent. and so it begins....

    ill get some before pics posted up soon....

    After popping for a chat and a cup of tea (after a hint) yesterday he is going to directly top up from his RO unit

    yes, i will be using an auto top-up from the mains through a solenoid and then through a 3 chamber ro unit. the ro unit will be on an opposite wall with all the electrics to make them more accessible. ;)

    ordered this solenoid to use in conjuction with a 4 stage RO unit and regulated with my tunze osmolator

    just finished tweaking the steel frame and now i think im all set to start work... gotta wait for the metal to arrive now :/

    hmmm... looks a bit complicated i 'spose. here a top down view which makes it look a little clearer ;)

    section 1 is where i will grow algae and will probably use section 2 for frags etc...

    Anyhow, back to the build! :D

    the metal has arrived, all 18m of it XD i just realised i need to cut it... i was thinking of just sticking an angle grinder through it but thats going to give me a bit of a sh!t cut so i think i many need to look at getting a blade for my chop saw.

    my corals still seem to be doing ok in the sump, its not great but as long as they survive i'll be happy...

    well, progress is slow but ive now chopped all the metal up

    all went really well, made one peice a few mil too small but i had some spare so not a problem really :D
