Anyone use them ????

You could use a plankton reactor, very similar in design with the tube in the centre.
Love something like this as space is limited in a reefer 250 sump..
Pretty cool idea, i have chaeto in my sump with a 4000lph powerhead pointing at it from the bottom. This gets me the flow through it, which is pretty good. It is just the lighting aspect of the reactor that would bother me, as my kitchen already looks like a disco at night with the current algae bulb.
I can grow Chaeto for fun... its in a plastic basket thing, under a small led sump light i got from uk marine lighting, I dropped a load at Burscough Aquatics a couple of weeks ago and now its on the up again and needs thinning out.
