certain flake foods can be high in phos so check the packaging.
as Jamie says stop the reefroids they will be adding po4.
don't over do it on the po4 media it can drop your dkh aswell if you use too much.

It's just odd it's not moving at all. Despite media and water changes.

Do you have loads of sensitive coral? If not I'd probably disagree with warby and leather it with phos remover. I'd used lanthanum chloride personally, but I'm a big fan of phosguard too.

If it's not lowered immediately after dosing a load of lanthanum then something I'd defo up!

just a mix of lps sps mushrooms Zoas
Have looked into the lanthanum and all the work I'm putting into it using phos guard/ rowaphos getting no results then a small bottle of this stuff sounds like a quick fix only seems abit extreme as no algae showing in tank

I have been in the same boat for about 12 months now, couldn't get phosphate below 0.25. I was told it was bound up in the rock, so I was going through gfo like no tomorrow and it just wouldn't go down. I was advised to try agent green so I purchased a bottle and followed the instructions and 2 days later phosphate showing zero on salefirt test kit and elos test kit. I will be switching back to gfo now it's down. Try it. [emoji1303]

Ok tested today a couple of weeks after I put 200ml rowaphos in reactor
Phos 0.2
Nitrates 25 to 50 (salifert) dosing 6ml nopox daily
Time to try agent green or similar as I believe phos in rocks and nothing is shifting it

Liquid phos remover. ATM do one called agent green. Personally I use a cheaply version by api called 'prevent algae'. You literally just pour it in. The potion bonds to the phos in the water and you see it go all cloudy. You need to try and add it before filter floss or whatever to try and catch the fines.

Some people don't like it but I can't really find a reason why. It works. Bonds with calcium but its minimal ime.

Have a google brother.

Hi pal right I've just received api prevent algae
I've volume of 200l
It's says on bottle add 10ml per 40l a week
Without overdosing how much and how often should I add which is safe
0.2 of phosphate
Cheers bud

I don't think you can really overdose as such mate. It bonds as soon as it hits the water. You will see the cloudiness. I'd just follow the instructions and re-test. See what the result is. I always used to just work on the one big slosh method! You will soon know if phos is low as the water won't cloud when you add it.

Not read the whole thread bud but have you tried another test kit or at lease taken a sample to a LFS for a 2nd opinion.

No haven't I know I should because the standard Red Sea phos test is only reads either 0 then 0.1 0.2 etc so basically a pile of ####
think the salfert one was better, just abit tight to fork out another £30 on a pro test kit,but I suppose it's more accurate
