nitrate could be lower to be honest along with phos. magnesium is high should be around 1350 ish.
maybe try a few 20% water changes to bring everything back inline. also test your new water for phos as it could be coming from there and if so your fighting a losing battle but have the results double checked by your lfs or another reefer.

Just tested new salt water as I've changed all ro filters, comes out 0 tds 0 phosphates and nitrates
So I agree the only way forward is doing lots of large water changes, will start when I get new salt
Just tested tank phosphates and there is a drop now to 0.2,this must be the seachem phos guard working, also dosing nopox at 6ml a day, skimmers pulling a lot out to
Won't be happy until I see zero phosphate so battle begins

I've been using nopox for ages and see next to no impact on phos. I'm also a big fan of phosguard which will help, but isn't the cheapest!

At this rate I'll be using the full tub 500ml in no time
Already on second bag which is 85ml (for my 200l tank)
According to seachem if phosphates haven't dropped to 0.03 in 4 days then replace with new(on second dose now)
makes me wonder if these products are more of a money gimmick!
Or am I doing things wrong

Sounds right to me mate. You can't really do it wrong with phosguard. You just gotta keep pulling that phos out mate

Ok a little update, over last several days I've changed 50% of tank volume and siphoned out sand, around rocks etc This has not reduced phosphate from 0.2 ( non pro Red Sea phos test kit)
Just don't know what's going on,I've tested fresh batch of salt water which reads zero phos
Also on third dose (85ml phos guard )
Any pointers please .?as I don't get it

You could wallop it with lanthanum mate. You will see the phosphate being removed with your own eyes.

Will have to explain no idea what it is!!

Liquid phos remover. ATM do one called agent green. Personally I use a cheaply version by api called 'prevent algae'. You literally just pour it in. The potion bonds to the phos in the water and you see it go all cloudy. You need to try and add it before filter floss or whatever to try and catch the fines.

Some people don't like it but I can't really find a reason why. It works. Bonds with calcium but its minimal ime.

Have a google brother.

I've been struggling with PO4 for years, I've just added a new phosphate remover which I'm not sure if anyone else will have used. As I'm running with Aquaforest Salt, and was advised that Aquaforest Phosphate Minus is the same product as ROWAPHOS but in a different tub, I thought I'd give it a go at £15 for 500g saving me about £8.

I added it to the external (Fluvial 406) I'm running, however forgot to open the tap on the external....Oops. However when doing a 60L change last night and bit of a clean up of the tank, I opened the tap. Last night I was running around 1.0 PO4 and wishing hours I'm running between 0.003 maybe less. I don't want this to sound like a miracle cure but the tank has run with a PO4 issue for about the last 4years+. I'm amazed at the results and with the time it's had the issue, I'm amazed that my rock wasn't saturated. If it is, I'm astonished with the product.

Great thanks may consider this, what were your levels before this
I've never had any algae in tank just high phos levels ( slow growth )
As I said done massive water changes lately using seachem phosguard and no dent on levels

Cheers bud like the sound of this for a quick fix
Not doing any more water changes as it's doing nothing for Phos and costing a fortune in salt

My levels before treating with Aquaforest were above 1.0 but under 3.0 based on a Salifert test (yes I know no1 likes this kit, however its what I've got).

With less than 12hours and doing another test on the tank it'd reduced to between 0.003 and 0. Tested again today 42ish hours on since cycle started and reading between 0.5 and 0.003. I did two tests and 2nd test read lower than 1st. Will be doing another test in the morning.

I think I've had PO4 issues for a few years and won't be surprised as the phosphate minus absorbs what it can, the rock will leach out. However I'm extremely happy with the result.

it does work for sure i have been told just not as strong as rowa. i have this myself but now i have 0 phos so feeding more to try and increase. Using hanna checker. ICP test will be sent away today to confirm my results. god only knows how bad or good they will be allot of issues recently so not expecting amazing results.

Quick update on my position, three weeks on and I haven't renewed the Aquaforest Phosphate Minus yet. Testing my tank yesterday before being treat to my 1st Nem for fathers day, my PO4 level is somewhere between 0.25 and 0.03. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Just an update myself
Performed a 30% water change a few days ago took out phosguard and setup reactor with 200ml rowaphos
Tested phosphate 0.2
Nitrates salifert between 25 and 50
I also removed most of sand and added new
Have no algae showing just cyno over sand
Can't believe haven't put a dent on levels
I'm also dosing nopox 6ml a day and heavy skimming
Starting to think if my fish load is the cause (9 small to medium fish)but one big fat and greedy damsel which doesn't help things I reckon
Any pointers folks

the phos will be leaching from the rock work. what po4 test are you using? can't remember if it's been asked?
can you list the 9 fish, how much you feed and what do you feed?
po4 has to be put into the tank rather then being broken down/converted from something like nitrate.
it could be from the food your adding. do you add phytoplankton or other coral foods?

2x common clowns
2 lemon damsels
1 large black damsel (doesn't help things)
Bio colour Angel
Bi colour blenny
Wreck fish anthia
Yellow wrasse ( silver belly)
Cleaner shrimp
Several hermit crabs
Feed twice daily of pinch of pellets and flake
Also every other day a block of mysis/brine
Weekly a little reef roids
I'm sure I don't over feed
Phos leaching from rocks sounds a good possibility
Useing redsea phos (non pro) to give latest reading of 0.2
Salifert nitrate (can't tell) either 25 or 50 (water looks very pink)
Good protein skimming going on

I'd cut reef roids straight away if trying to reduce phos. That many fish will defo be plenty to keep your coral happy imo.
