Can't reduce phosphates

Phosphates are currently 0.4 (Red Sea test) Been dosing nopox for along time now but it won't reduce phos
So tried rowaphos in reactor which did reduce from 0.6 to 0.4 but couldn't get it lower so tried lots of water changes around 50 % overall in my 200l tank,(added new pre filters, carbon block, resin in ro unit which produces 0 tds)
Recently added 85ml of seachem phos guard in sump....new test is 0.4 phosphates
Tank has lps sps some mushroom,no algae but no coral growth
Any help please before I give up

Changed ro unit filters, resin etc ,added booster pump. 0tds
Added a new skimmer which is superb
Getting annoying as don't know where I'm going wrong

Is that 0.4 or 0.04?
I use the Red Sea test and got bogged down at 0.08 for months, an IPC test came back at 0.04,,
So it may be lower than you think.

Can you get a second opinion with another test kit? 0.4 is very high considering what you have done so far. Maybe your LFS would test it for you.

I would spend the money and get yourself a hanna checker for phos. worth the money and then you will get an accurate reading. Is it possible your rock is still leaching phos ?

before you go any further get a second opinion on your po4 reading. or get a second test kit personally I use elos hr phos kit which iv found to be accurate to icp tests.
des, hanna isn't as accurate as everyone may think it's 5ppb or +-0.015

Whatever phos or any other levels are I wouldn't want to change anything, those corals are loving it
Looks very good.

From those pictures nothing in your tank is being effected , it looks to be thriving Big Thumbs Up

Just seem to get very slow growth from some corals such as mushrooms,Zoas Kenya tree frag never grown in over a year, don't know if you could see but there's a white tipped torch that's been closed for months, wasn't sure if high phos has caused it but did find flatworms on it onceimage.jpg

High phos generally wont effect lps or soft corals. They actually prefer tge water a bit dirtier
