    2 good books that are worth a read are
    Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson And
    The Photographer's Eye by Michael Freeman
    Both very helpful and have plenty of tips on settings of the camera ect

    Also a good site for price checking equipment is Camera Price Buster - UKs cheapest camera gear

    Lens wise the i like the canon 50mm very good lens although it does not have the image stability function
