    well views please below is Phos and nitrate, for those that already know about this don't spoil it, lets see the views first

    Thanks Roger, do you mean as they are so high there would be no colour in the corals and a lot of stock would suffer apart from dirty little acans that like nutrients

    The typical guidelines would say "No."
    But those are just guides and suspect there are many other factors that help to keep different species of corals alive and thriving.

    What idiot would risk sps in those levels?

    Id be looking to close my tank and give away the sps before they come to harm.

    My money is on yes! Providing these don't bounce around. I've got zero Phos and a fair amount of no3 and its not done any harm to a lot of my sps frags.

    Aren't phosphates and no3 food anyway?

    One coral! One coral. All the others which have been in for some time are thriving.

    The one that isn't doing too well came burscough - if memory serves right he's got a 250v light unit.

    I havent seen Carlos jnrs tank thread for a while i wouldnt be suprised if he had high nitrate with that bloody great shark in the tank
