    Hi folks
    New tank thread alert!
The time has come for me to upgrade from my current tank of 18mths, being a plug & play Aquareef 200 it has been a great starter tank for me, but fallen into that space of wanting bigger lol, as most of us do.
Have been slowly buying equipment 2nd hand & gaining knowleadge over past few months, have a long way yet to get all i need but as funds allow it will get there.
New tank diamentions are 42Lx28wx26h and placement of this has been a bit of a headache but finally (with the nod off swmbo) created a corner for it.

getting the picture now! wallpaper was part of the deal will wifey :whistling:
moving on i have made a start with the cabinet, using 4x2 & 3x2 cls
for framework with 18mm ply bases & 12mm back.
height of cab stands at 900mm tall, this is giving me 820mm internal height so plenty of room to mess about with.

Will be cladding this with kitchen doors and panels for finish.
    will add more soon.
    Thanks for looking.

No they certainly dot but we all find a way somehow, it's an addiction for sure, but when you see what you've created it makes it all worth it. I like the dimensions of the tank too, I'd like something along that size if and when I upgrade :)

I must admit it sounds like a great size, I love the front to back space and wouldnt go back to a skinny tank myself.
I wonder what fun my new one holds getting into

    You're welcome.
Mine will look similar to the old setup, but probably going to look at colourful softies and some LPS, rather than a domination of LPS like last time.
Will get some pics up when things start to happen.

Jaytee, pulled that stunt to many times before, dosent wash anymore!!!.

Thanks for the comments Ged, tank will go in the corner you see, but longways out if you know what i mean, wanted to keep it as far away from the telly as poss, with a set of ATI"s above i can see enough moaning as it is without it drowning the telly out as well lol smiley-sex020

Few more pics of the cab build, with all ply waterproofed with unibond and all internal cls stained with 3 coats of exterior dark oak sealant. it was time to clad.

with that done i set about the inside again, decided to use the self addisive flooring tiles on top of the ply, also got the electrics done, a TC10 wired has yet to go in for temp control.

the front surport is removeable so i can get the sump in, just in case you wondered.

Looking good there Barra, even down to the new stud wall. Glad you decided to relocate the tank away from the french windows though Hysterical

(It's just my stupid sense (or lack) of humour)).
