I am in the middle of my latest upgrade and would just like to know what paint people use for there background.
I would like a deep dark blue or black.

But What type of paint is best for the job?

    Thanks

Plastic stuff that's blue one side and black the other then it can be changed when ever you like and don't affect the tank

I've gone with a royal blue on my new tank. It's a sticky sheet thing so I can change colours if I get the urge.

Is the tank Empty. I used acrylic stuck to the inside of the tank with aquarium silicon. Looks a lot smarter than paint on the back. I clad my back panel and weir in acyrilc for 18 pounds (3x2x2) See my link to 54g build video below Feb 2012.

You can buy from here in blue or black. Opaque Sheet - Design and Technology Materials

    I purchased the royal blue.

Not if applied properly with a spray bottle with a soapy solution and a squeegee.
It needs to be wet when applying it;)
