I have an eheim on the QT tank. Works well for me. I still feed when I am around and check level of food in the vessel but its pretty good IMO. Once a month I clean it all out as the food can get clogged up with moisture.

Well that would depend on how often and how much you want to feed. IIRC it allows for 4 feeding times and can do double feeds (spin round twice) I guess I refill mine every 2-3 weeks

I was about to ask about these as we're going away with my parents, who usually do fishy duty whilst we're away. What food do you use in them? I normally divert the return flow when feeding so any floating food doesn't go straight over the weir. I was thinking about putting the return pump on a timer to switch off for 30mins in sync with the auto feeder. Can anybody see any problems with this?

haha, yeah but i want something reliable:taunt:

hahaha, only kidding fella. i been feeding about 3 times a day, little an often. if i get an auto feeder then ill probably do it for just 2 times but have it running all the time so i have less work to do :thumbup1:

i will be doing this to. i usually just do it on a friday leaving the food in suspension for about 30 minutes then turn return back on before doing my weekly water change. i cant see any issues but if you start it now and monitor it you should have it running sweet by the time you go on holiday.

im not going till next may so i think even ill have it running smooth by then Hysterical

would still appreciate you coming in and checking on it though neil Thanks
