    25 mm is 1"

    32mm is 1/4 ?

you can use the stuff from lbs with B&Q just not the same pipe fittings

I would just get every thing from lbs you know its the right size then

i have a draw full of different pipe sizes believe me

Use it from one source and you should be fine its not worth trying to bodge it

    That answers the question then.

I got a screw fixing for my 1" pipe connector which then allowed connection of the 32mm pipe to it.

The Ballvalve I had was 1" / 32 marked on the side, but the 32mm pipe was too loose, hence why I had to glue it more and then add some epo putty. However, the tees and the angles etc were 32mm and they fitted fine. Therefore 32mm must be the external diameter then and not the internal.

But 32mm pipe fits into 1 inch fittings which doesn't make sense to me?

might be the outside and inside measurements dude :) this is trouble you get metric fittings and imperial

some times you can get metric to imperial conversions

Yeh that was what I tried to achieve, so was suggesting the same as yourself really. Buy it from the place that sells the standard size stuff for aquatics etc

The outside diameter of coral cultures 32mm pipe is 32mm so I should be able to use pieces of that as an internal sleeve to connect my existing pipe to the ball valves from lbs.

For £3.79 it's worth a punt. If it fails I will sideline my stuff and buy everything from coral culture or lbs. At roughly £60 for the stuff from either shop I think its worth trying before paying that much.

Got the return plumbing done today. Everything glued in down to the ball valves. Havnt done after the ball valve as I want to make sure it's ok for a filter sock and holder when I get one.

Hopefully testing next week. Do you think I will be ok not siliconing the tank connectors just whilst I test? Reason being it can then be disassembled easily when we move in may.
