That might cause them to spore. Sending a tonne of spores in to the display. Tazzer them dude! Turn your return off so that there's no flow otherwise you may wash some of the Aip X away and you should get a nice clean shot at the oral disc!

Aip xing them could do the same as they implode

Slicing against the glass is quick and easy rather than aip x them to return bigger and better

They shouldn't return if you use it properly. Man handling them will only p!ss um off. Which ever you do Matt, be careful and avoid aggravating the Aiptasia.

If you check the instructions on the Aip x it says to dose the area around the Aiptasia in order to catch any that may have been cloned that you cant quite see. This is why they often reappear, its not the same Aiptasia you treated. Generally it will be a small one that in a few weeks grows to fill the space where you killed the original.

If you do use the blade on the glass, make sure you have some way to catch those removed you may even need a syphon if any drift past a net say.

Always worked for me, yes there's still the odd one but i'm on top of them. If i see one i zap t and it will be 3-4 weeks before i see another. Eventually i may never see one. It worked for me in the large system i just struggled to getting to some in my nano as its fiddly avoiding the corals when your wading in with big hands.

Did you ever see the triffid I had at the back of my old tank?

No way could a clone be as big as that within a couple of weeks :)

Not saying its no good just that I have never found it to be effective just as others never had success with nudis etc

They will, the nudis will work. Just got to be patient. James's tank was over run with Aips last time i saw it a few weeks back, when i go tomorrow i expect big results. Hes already said there has been a huge improvement.

The Nudis are great not so if you chuck um in the tank in daylight hours with hungry fish waiting mind. And if your params arnt right etc etc of course there going to perish.

You should have used some industrial weed killer Hysterical

Well they ain't looking so cocky now. (For now at least)

As long as they're manageable I don't mind a regular blast with the aip x.

Thanks for the advice tho Ged. I did think of draining the centre section of the sump to a couple of inches. Then scraping them off dry. Then water back in. Do you think that would have worked. Can they release spores out of water?

No I sure didnt. Been sat starring into the tank today. Back to enjoying it. Actually sat there and realised I had no dosing no maintenance no cleaning no pods feeding no phyto to change blah blah and just enjoyed it.
