post your parameters, looks like a phosphate problem.try not running with the lights on or reduce the lighting to a couple of hrs a day

As above, algae is a phosphate and nitrate problem. Run some phos remover and it should help the problem and if you can afford it get yourself a reactor.

what do people think of the phos remover you can dose direct to the tank?

is it any good?

i use rowaphos in a reactor, gotta say my tank nearly got like that. rowa stopped it growing so i cleaned the glass after the 2nd day and it didnt grow back for a week. i had so much PO4 i have done 3 rowa changes in a month. nearly sorted now but was looking at getting that re-fresh stuff. also prodibio sell vials of bio-digest which ive heard good things about. i use there bioptim and reefbooster its ace stuff

i have put in some activate carbon granulate in, in a bag
should i just limit the white lights to a couple of hours and leave the blues on

i don't have a reactor, nor can really afford one at the moment, so wondered if the dose to tank stuff was any good?

i have an algae issue at the moment too. my chalk goby is doing his best, but he's only small!

Do you have a sump? How about considering an algae scrubber? Easy to run and "reasonably" cheap as a DIY project. I'm running one semi successfully at the moment, but I had mine on the tank from day 1. There are some pictures on the algae scrubber site of tanks similar to yours both before and after. The results are quite amazing.
