algae turf scrubbers

Hi Just about to set up an aquaone 275 cube and was thinking of adding a ATS. I would appreciate any input from you guysBig Thumbs Up

I ran one for about 2 years. Started with a basic one and acquired another pre- made one from a fellow reefer shutting down and it worked really well. I have a acrylic shell at the moment that I was going to make a 3rd version with, but am now changing my tank.

Did you find you had no need to use a skimmer while running the ATS

I didn't run a skimmer all the time I had a scrubber. It took a few weeks to get going and needed a little boost to get it functioning correctly. I had undetectable nitrates and phosphates on Salifert test kits.

My scrubber is made from Wickes 22mm PVC Pipe so also very cheap to build.
