couple of things i forgot to say you must supply the feed to this ATS using a small pump or t-off your return and i was told by the manufacturer it would easily handle a 200 ltr aquarium which to be fair it did I was running no skimmer when i had this on the system and levels where kept in check

yes back with the skimmer and reactor for phosphate tbh if i had a bigger sump area i would probably run the ATS as well but its just personal choice i think its as good as a refuge and in the same way as that would only be part of your waste management system the ATS plays its part its just personal choice mate but im always changing that half the pleasure of this hobby

well if its a sea breeze the lights are to weak it will grow algea but not at the rate you need if its a dearer one with heat sinks and 3 watt bulbs thats a different animal all depends what you spend £350 will buy a good one

Well, I bought a seabreeze from eBay, and going to upgrade the lights. Should be ok then.
But yes, you’re right, the lights suck.

yes its a shame but everything is cost related the ones with better lights need heat sinks and thats why they cost 3 times the price @ £350 seams expensive but is really ? for what we spend in this hobby its not, i went over to look at the one Les bought to replace his seabreeze and as i said really is a different animal one thing you must do when you get it is get some algea off Les it grows much quicker once it seeds in than normal green hair algea i still like the idea of a ATS and will keep an eye out for the right one good luck with yours oh and i think if your increasing the light i would leaxe the top off so any extra heat can escape easier

Aside from a small leak issue, I think the unit is well designed. Managed to get it for £90 from the seller. £70 for the upgrade parts, so £160 all in. Couldn’t afford a turbo aquatics ats.
