340 is too low even for a cheap salt , anything less than 350ish inhibits growth .

I would retest .Calcium at 340 doesn't sound right with only soft corals and weekly water changes .

yeh unless you have a large volume of ro to make I think the standard ones are fine , and slightly more efficient too .
Its an old merlin 720 . It's not super efficient and removes about 80% tds when the membranes are new so I run a good few litres of resin .

there is a crab species that lives in molluscs , its not a symbiotic relationship though . If i remember correctly its a pea crab .
