Back again with my lighting issues.
I rained my lighting in and manually removed the brown algae. This was last week.
Now the brown algae is rearing its ugly head again. Only lightly but still concerning.
It's destroyed 3 small Spls and a medium Lps.
Should I just tough it out?
I have also stopped my NoPox dosing as of today. Could the dosing be the cause? Any helpers, please?

Hello. This is my first post and I'm in the very very early stages of looking into a marine tank. With the high costs associated with all the various equipment (especially lights) I have had a look at the rapid led kits.
Anyone on here used them. For just under £1000 shipped I can get http://www.rapidled.com/solderless-125g-tank-diy-kit/ with controller.
In your opinion would I be getting a light that rivals the hydra 52s or even the radion xr30 pros. It would be a £1300...
hi fellow salty members
I have a juwel lido 200 that I am converting to marine. I would greatly appreciated some suggestion on led lighting please as it keeps giving me a massive headache trying to work out what would be best to use.
the led lighting must fit within the pre-existing hood of the aquarium, as I have parrots and past experience demonstrated to me open top is bad plan, as I regularly had to rescue parrots from the water.
I want corals in my aquariums so led must be...
Rather frustrated this morning as I'm now at work and stuck till 6pm. I asked some friends last night and was advised to leave things and see what happens. However I've come down this morning and there's a tear in the foot and stuff coming from the mouth. It was nicely inflated on Thursday and looked to have a poo on Friday (looked like brown pellets).
Hi. All was going great with my fish only set up, added a group of green button polyps 10 days ago. Was initially concerned about them not opening. Since then added green mushrooms, they're fine, my son brought me 3 Desmonds? on a single stem. To quickly sum up, I posted my concerns regarding the polyps and had several helpful replies. However, since then I've suddenly lost both healthy feather dusters, the Duncans aren't showing themselves, and very sadly I can't see my firefish or blenny...
Most of you will probably have seen my previous thread about my whitespot issue as it got a bit out of hand :whistling:
Anyway I upgraded my tank back in March and after adding my first fish got whitespot and after trying to "ride it out" lost half of my fish but they seemed fine after a 21 day treatment of chloroquine in my DT due to it being FO and using real reef rock rather than live rock.
After adding my remaining stock after a week without any returning spots I fully expected...
The six lined wrasse is one of my fav little fish and I have just bought a pair. I say a pair as I can usually sex them and have done so on a number of occasions in my 36 years in marines. First of let's dispel this myth stated at the beginning of the thread Quote "Only get 1 six line per tank because they WILL fight" While males in a small tank may fight I have found a male with one or more females will not. I have kept 3 pairs in my time and believe I have just got another pair not that...
