Excellent fish for the reef aquarium. Another interesting specimen and every tank should have one. They are similar to cleaner shrimp - cleaning parasites from other fish. Apparently they have low survival rates in captivity....

This wrasse has 2 colour phases. The juvenile fish have a pair of bright yellow stripes below the broad dark brown to greenish area that extends from snout and encompassing most of upper side. As an adult, it is a rainbow of colours, with a blue to green head, yellow neck, blue fins, blue to purple tail, and red body.
