    Default Can I use a carbon "Cooker Hood" pad as carbon?

    Reason I am asking this is because I have been holding out from using ozone until I could add carbon to the outlet of my Tunze skimmer. This would be easier with a piece of carbon pad.

    That's a very good point. I really did not think of that. I suppose they could be used to cover the top, however the Tunze is a bit messy when it does to this. Thank you for your input.

    If it was me I'd use it on the top of the skimmer cup but not in the water.

    I agree with Aaron I can't see a problem with it being used ontop of the skimmer cup, purely just to take away ozone smells released from the cup itself.

    I don't think I would use it in the tank though James.

    Not sure if sticking it on top would be an easy option. There is no visible hole like on Detecs / TMC etc.
