What do you do with your empty salt buckets

I use them for

washing new sand
Collecting Cheato so its not all over the carpet
transporting larger corals / fish / inverts
Acclimatising new stock
emptying the AWC 50 Ltrs is too much in one go

Some buckets are designated for
gardening
car washing
Christmas Trees
etc

But I have enough now so bags of salt would be time for me going forward

There was a time when things like bottles and buckets were returnable and you got a small refund for them. In this throw away world we live in its about time something similar was introduced. We can learn from the past but you have to have the desire and political will do make changes.

If there was such a thing when you returned a bucket you got £x off they would raise the price to cover £x

Within a few days 44 people have voted with 29 of those putting them to good use that's nearly 3/4 of us who voted so far. If you don't want them you could advertise them as free to a good home If not then simply put them in the recycle bin.

i have bought many buckets over the years from B&Q and other builders yards, but they are of very poor quality ans soon end up with a hole or a crack in them somewhere, or the handle falls off.

salt buckets are much sturdier so when i have enough, i will probably ask the local farmer if he wants the old ones, they will make excellent provin buckets for cows to kick about!!

Ok at the close of the pool we have no less than 81.39% who put their empty salt buckets to good use. Chris likes to collect them for prosperity lol.
Glad see you the vast majority find a useful purpose for them rather than just discard them. I think when I have more then enough I would offer them up FOC to anybody who wants them rather than bin them but that will take sometime.
