I used to batch-mix my salt RO, so would only dig into a bucket every month and a half or so, mixing up enough water in one go to last that time. Both Red Sea and D&D had a nice solid layer on the top of the salt in the sealed bag in the sealed bucket after this time when I was using those salts....

Maybe it was just me and the way I seal stuff up though
If you bought a bag and refilled the bag inside the bucket it would be exactly the same as buying a new bucket full tho.

exactley, so why cheapen your product just because of a package.they would have done it ages ago.prob because demand is,nt high enough??not viable??if a company can keep its prices high they will, only a decrease in sales will it get people thinking..

Would much prefer sacks, them salt tubs are a nightmare, worse than sweets tins,, just sitting around in case they might come in useful sometime.

Commercial packs may also be a lower grade. Due to the amount they go through and the time the stock is in there it wont matter as much.

Thats normal.. If you buy a used caravan from a dealer the warranty sold to you for £300 costs the seller a tenth of that. Same for car warrantys too, dont get it from the dealer go to the warranty supplier direct.. Thats how people stay in business.
