For sure, I would buy a 25kg sack.

It's cheaper, it's more value for money, and tbh their arguements about transport bear no weight, they already ship it in that form to the LFS anyway.

Now if RS offered the sack for £50 retail or the 22kg bucket for £50 then we have a definitive choice. I would buy the sack over the bucket all the time.

I have about 10 of their buckets in the garage anyway.

I can just see nothing coming of it. It's like computer components and OEM you can buy a soundcard for £30 cheaper without a box. But they are identical items.

If RS listen then good for them, and I will be the first to apologise.

The only problem is.. If it was sold in 25kg sacks you wouldn't be able to replenish a 22kg bucket with a 25kg sack. What happened with the extra 3kg's?

Depends if buckets come filled to the brim.

Or just buy and save 2 buckets before you switch to sacks.

One assumes a plastic sack ? yes and i do , this last tank was set up with a big plastic sack of Red Sea Pro , i used it all, its only an issue IMO if you use small quantities as i presume it absorbs moisture and whatnot from the air .

As the 22kg buckets are not filled to the brim a 25kg sack may fit in nicely. I'll be trying it when my bucket runs out as I've a few 25kg sacks of RSCP. It it doesnt, the left over can just go into another airtight container until the next water mix day.
