sorry to jump on ur thread mate but needed to ask this, Im very impressed with the growth on this could you tell me your params or what you dose with, my fragged fluoro acropora doesn't seem to have an explosion of growth even though it has based out nicely

Params are a sore point with me at the moment

For most of the period its been around 12dkh and 450+ calc. Nitrates about 5-10 and phos, well I'd be guessing at 0.1. I was dosing iodine very slightly and adding strontium to my calcium buffer. I think its position is the main point for me as I've got another frag of valida as shown in the other pics barely growing at all

Its roughly 10inches below the surface directly under a 150w halide

Sorry didn't mean to bring a sore subject up mate, do you run a calcium reactor on your tank then? My calcium is usually 400+ haven't tested in a while but shall consider moving the frags slightly only have a shallow tank 18"

No, I've been manually dosing. Bit of bicarb every day and calcium dihydrate every few days/week as required

Probably a bit early for an update as its not been very long but as I'm currently doing pics 20/1/12 then 18/2/12, not much gone on but had some trouble with the tank

when you said you were going to put up pictures of your big "purple one" that was "growing fast" I didn't expect this!!..... very impressive
