    Default Ozone or UV

On my upgrade reef tank,i cant decide on ozone or uv,even though this question as been posted many times i still cant decide, the upgrade tank is 3' x 2' x2' sumped,it will contain corals and fish,i will have miracle mud in sump,(already purchased) cant decide between LR or DSB in other chamber so advice on that will also be appreciated,
if i choose ozone i will go with the TMC,and same for uv,my present reef tank has uv,so i have seen the results of uv,
draw back with uv is bulb change every 6 months, and size of the unit, and the flow rate through it,i really need to know the + and - of ozone,

I run both, are you wanting it for parasite control or polishing?

I though that ozone polishes and that uv removes parasite and other things thus clearing the water ... so i would think uv
    hope this helped RD
Scuba is the way to go
but taking a slice of reef home is just as good.

You'll need to invest in a controller if you're using it for parasite control which is an added cost over UV, currently using it myself for a WS outbreak. Water clarity is amazing though. Main con is that it can be dangerous to your health if used incorrectly.

No controller, just a timer and adjustable dosage. You need an ORP controller to run it between 350 and 420mv. Be about another £130 on top.

We use both uv and ozone in our tank, as we have an acillies tang which is prone to Ws so we run both just to help with prevention of it
