Hi kev I have spoke to my LFS and the smallest pump they do is a 300lph would this be ok for mixing 8 litres or would I be better off with an air pump. If its an air pump do I put an air stone on the end of the pipe of not.

Hi Wayne, For very small volumes I use an air supply and a lime wood defuser like the ones used in air driven protein skimmers.

Just seen this too, I have been doing it wrong. I have a seperate empty tank which I mix around 50 to 70 litres of salt plus RO water and leave, using it has required and topping up later. A couple of questions? What amount of salt +RO do you recommend for a weekly RSM 130D water change, and what is the difference in having the salt and RO in a 90- Litre empty tank mixing (which is what I have been doing up to now) and when the water is added to the Aquarium with powerheads mixing?

As you said tongues wagging and is this right - so ok given the comments on CO2 absobsion what about stabilisation of pH etc within a 3-4 hour period? I've always mixed mine for at least 24 hours (cold and adding salt in batches over an hour) my container is covered in brown sediment !!

Cant say I've seen this in the instructions does it make this clear ?
