I have always found that paying that little bit more for one of these Nanostream pumps has always been worth it. The pump itself is quiet, and the simple yet effective C Clamp allows for the flow to be directed in so many positions, even straight back onto the glass for those difficult to reach areas. The pumps should be run all the time, rather than through a wave maker for reliability.

The pump would have received 5 stars, however has been downgraded to 4 for these reasons.
If purchasing 2nd hand / used then be aware that the C Clamp can break if you try to remove it, so best to leave it in place.
You may find that the front part of the housing loses it's ability to hold onto the back part if you take it apart for cleaning regularly. This is easily resolved by adding a couple of small cable ties.
