Fish don't matter Les as far as RSPCA is concerned, if they had fur then it would be a different kettle of fish so to speak ;-)

BAS is better now than it had been for many years, however they remain under staffed and there is the problem. Andy at BAS is a very knowledgable fella, but he can't run an entire fish house on his own. I call in on a regular basis and while the new owners have made several improvements it still falls short in several areas despite being voted No.10 in the practical fish keeping awards for 2011 as the top 10 fish stores in the UK.
    Regards Chris

Agree100% chris. I have been a customer there for many years through the good bad and the down right ugly times. If even bought my latest aquasision there this week. . In fact Adrian even served me. I well remember the Gizzy brothers John and Dave along with the place they had before BAS.

Very true. I reported an aquatics place for cruelty to seahorses as they became emaciated in their care and it was heartbreaking to see them. The RSPCA sent someone to visit who knew nothing about them and or even fish for that matter and reported that all was fine. Waste of time they were. The Council on the other hand did and monitored them after that.
