Well, we are beside ourselves with excitement. Rather than buy that second car, we've blown some of the money on a new Salty Box
We are now the proud owners of a Red Sea MAX 130D.
Our local Aquajardine have this tank as a display tank, which has been running for almost a year and they seem to be pretty happy with it.
Anyway, we took the plunge and are hoping to have a nem (or several nems depending on the advice we receive on here) and two maroon clowns.
The only drawback is doing to be waiting until the tank is ready for a nem!! (impatience and marine just do not go side by side).
Set it up yesterday, put the crushed coral in, salted water and heater and are now waiting for the temperature to reach goal.
It was suggested that we test the salt, temperature and PH and then add a handful of sand from our 4 footer and a piece of rock from our 4 footer to help the cycle.
Is that about right? Should we be doing anything else??
thanks in advance
Hillie
