Default My new tank upgrade 400L

Hello everyone im new on the forum a certain sponsor said i should join up lol

    Well im planning on a new tank ( in the planning stages ) the tank will be a 48 x 22 x 24" with a 48 x 15 x 18 " sump.
I will be installing my first Closed Loop System using a Laguna pump omniflex outlets and a one of the new 1" scwd's.

I already have a skims skimmer a Pacific sun Metis XM 2 x 150w led light tmc vecton 400 uv 2x aquarays for sump lighting.

Just to make life a lot harder i will be updating my living room at the same time so have ordered the tank the sump and am having the cabinest made up. A quick idea of what it will look like below... of course this is a work in progress so will be changing i guess lol loz

Im going with the scwd due to price really is it worth saving to get the oceans motions over the scwd? opinions would be great as there is a huge price difference and as always a budget is in place.. lol well chat soon and hi loz

Well i suppose i better update this lol.

I got my new tank and sump today, (pics to follow) i went with the opti white front panel option and i have to say wow it makes a big difference on the tank you really can see the difference with high iron float glass. Well worth the extra in my humble opinion.

The tank is pre drilled for my cls system return weir left black silicone i read clear gets covered in algae quite quickly and so always better to go with black. Really chuffed nice tank.

Due to some advice i have chased out all of my walls and will be adding 5 double sockets left and 5 double sockets right of the tank in 2 seperate electrical enclosures wil 80mm grommets to allow plugs through. I will run in some trunking so i can keep all electrical wires nice and tidy in the sump cabinet

I also recieved a new kent phos reactor. I have read they can leak a bit so a nice thin bead of silicon around the top should help seal it off but for 33 quid you cant really complain.

Picked up a v2 react 600 calcium reactor and 2 x 2kg co2 bottles and a tmc regulator of the bay for 36 quid delivered. Its not great but will do for the time being as i save for a good calcium reactor.

My custom build cabinets should be here by the end of the month and i will be ready to order my reef ceramics in Septemeber. Not the fastest of builds i know but we all have budget problems well i am in no rush i just want to get it right. I will add pics soon Loz
