tank conversion

here my tank that I have changed from temperate saltwater to tropical with sump .1st compartment bio ball and 3 filter mats,next sand bed with plants reverse lit.still waiting for the cycle to complete.

How have you seeded the dsb? Do you have any critters to turn over the layers? Just asking as I removed my dsb as it wasn't doing anything & I was concerned it was going to start producing hydrogen sulphide rather than converting nitrate.

no critters yet just plants,waiting for the cycle to complete before adding anything

Will be interested to see how it goes. I like the idea of a dsb, but don't want to risk it causing more problems!
