Bob's New tank build/mod
Hi
I am starting a diary of my build.
Purchased cheap 2nd hand tank/stand/sump etc from ebay. Cabinet salt damaged but got for steal.

Whilst the cabinet is with my father for refurbishment I have started on the tank with acyrilic background and hard pipe return system from the pump.
100% water tight by the way.
Here is first set of pics.

Re: Bob's New tank build/mod
Whats going on with the pipework in pic 6 bob? Ive never seen anything hanging out the tank, Im guessing that the feed pipe to the tank yes? As for chaeto. I keep it as do loads of others. Its easy to maintain, I light mine 24/7 with 2x phillips 18w daylight bulbs. The light spectrum has to be 6500k for it to work best, Some people use grow bulbs and i believe they have alot of succes with them aswell..

Re: Bob's New tank build/mod
for all the posative comments.
Pic 6 shows the feed which will be put in once mounted back on the cabinet.
Fish list. Pair Clowns, leopard wrasse, couple green chromis, fire fish, 6 lined wrasse, tail spot blenny. Clean up crew, strarfish, LPS corals, anemone.
I will keep cheto in the sump with live rock rubble and DSB. But I was wondering could I keep in the weir were the outlet pipe is also?
More pics to follow. Just used my budget up on 2 Aquaray 600 £ 150.00 from LFS.
However, I need a piece of mounting rail from some where
