Default My 2ft Sumped Cube - Funky LED Lighting

I have taken another plunge and decided to change my setup. My previous tank was lovely, and the recent aquascaping really helped me appreciate the hobby a little bit more.

The tank was far from cheap and I thought it was best to go new. I think my LFS like me $$$! (Note, I have changed shops recently after some not so impressive service from others).

I migrated from a Juwel Rio 300 with Canister Filter to a 2ft Cube with sump.

I am using 2 x Aquaray LED Units, and 3 AquaFX Units (Only 2 Wired in right now).

Skimmer is Instant Ocean 400 Skimmer

What do you think? I have left loads of holes to fill, and it's giving us the wow factor already, hoping to make it quite a piece of work.

All comments welcome, and always looking for some good advice and tips.

    Cheers All

Update (Yep, within 1 min - LOL!)

I decided to go a little bit DIY on my Weir, and have created a height adjustable perspex platform for some floss. This is vital after the move as I had a load of crud in there and didn't want it just flowing down the to sump. When I am happy it has collected enough then I shall remove to reduce the chance of nasties building up. I may periodically add some to ensure clear water.

Which LEDs are the aquarays? The tube type or the tiles?

Your cube looks great and the light is very good from them as well.

    Hi,
I have the 500 series, so they're long and not square.
Lighting it good, was considering putting my halide on, but no need me thinks.
One is White, the other is White / Blue. Used to have 4, but 1 failed (bought 2nd hand so no warranty) so have a spare, just in case.

I would email TMC and see if they would cover it, their service is pretty good. It's worth a shot, if you give them the serial number etc

It looks really bright, tbh I think the strips are better than the tiles anyway.

I've emailed twice, with no response. Even asking where I can get replacements from, rather than buy the full package. Nothing as yet. Might try from a non-work email in case it's blocked.
The tiles and strips are both good, however the strips suited my needs and allowed good placement of 4 strips over a 4ft old tank, rather than trying to get 3 HD (square) ones which would have been a lot more money.
Will give it another try. Cheers.

Cant comment on your lights but your tank certainly has that "wow factor" IMO

GED - Yes please, would appreciate a PM with email address. Cheers.
Gillyspot - Thankyou, really nice to hear someone say it has the wow factor.
I suppose the next tasks should see it getting a little neater in the cabinet. Looking to use external pushswitch bank for the items I might switch off (I.e. Skimmer while feeding). Would be have to not have the typical extension set on top of the sump.
    Cheers again

    James
