    Default Mitchell's SPS Splinter System

    SPS Frag System
The SPS Frag system has been designed so I can get upclose and personal with any little fraglets I can get my hands on. Ill be trying to maintain optimun water conditions and using the frag system as a control system for the corlas in the DT. Hopefully the frags I introduce will grow in a "natural" way and display crisp colours. Also this will help keep my hands out of the DT.
I'm keen to find the edge/balance between a ULNS and sterile environment whilst have a little fun along the way. I think it will be like dating a size zero model, you know dont know how close to starvation she can get until she passes out!

The kit should be over spec'd allowing me to keep ontop of the parameters and have a fighting chance at maintaining excellent results.

    Glass box 48 x 15 x 10 with opti white front
    External weir containing 2 x 40mm (Drain & Overflow)
Two 25mm return holes in the back panel
    Sump 48 x 15 x 18
    Ehim return pump
    KZ revolution skimmer (s)
    KZ Zeovit reactor (s)
    Deltec PF601 calcium reactor
    4 x 54w T5 Maxigrow
    1 Heater + 1 backup heater
    2 x MP10 W
    Frag tray 41 x 20 x 5 with opti white front
    Polario ML twinflow powerhead
    2 x 54 T5 D&D

substrate sugar fine sand with tonga branching rock and reef plates

I've knocked a frame together with some cheap white board which wont win any cabinet making awards but as long as it holds the tank firm will do me.

I wanted plenty of height as I'm fed up of bending over to get in the sump.

Typically just as I’d finished the frame I managed to pick up a 4ft sump and had to take the bloody thing apart again to fit in, grrrrr.

    Collecting bits of kit...

    Getting ever nearer...
