Default SPS Cube now with a Moorish Idol

I ordered a new tank today unplanned after a somewhat disastrous day... My Betta Lifespace 680 decided to spill it's guts on me after a split base.

After a hectic day of running around trying to secure the safety of my livestock, clearing up the mess and carnage I'm left with a pile of rocks in a container of water and another container with corals in it. This is my beloved 680 as it stood last week.

The new tank measures 36x36x24 and is a Seabray custom built tank, centre weir, sump and a matte black finish which now puts me into the 'large' section. That's about all I can remember about the tank as I phone World of Fishes in a bit of a daze and said "I need a sumped tank as fast as you can get me one". Hats off to Daryl at WoF, he sorted me out with quotes within a few hours and tank will arrive next week with me (Thursday).

My plan for the tank is to add my existing fish and existing LPS coral stock. I'm going to carry one my current equipment except the lighting which I'll need to replace. I'm undecided on whether to go down the LED route.

I'll add some pictures once the tank arrives, any advice on the lighting from would be welcome.

    Cheers.

Blimey mate, cant believe tank popped on you and is now in a bucket, what caused the split??
Glad you got a new one sorted, and a real nice size as well.

I dunno what caused it, just woke up to puddles... Base has split pretty much all the way round. Could of been a lot worse I guess. I could of got a 24" cube but I thought fook it, was gonna upgrade next year anyways.

Depending on it's age it might be worth "informing" Betta of this issue as they could be generous

    2 x Ocellaris Clowns (Mork & Mindy),2 x Cleaner shrimps (Woody & Jesse),1 x Peppermint shrimp (Peppa),
crabs & snails.Toadstool, xenia, kenya tree, GSP, zoas, mushrooms & pipe organ.

Hi Carl, my Equisite Wrasse got very stressed, it's a bit touch and go. All my fish are at the LFS and feeding so fingers crossed he'll make it.

I've just ordered my lighting through Fastlight, decided to go with the dimmable ATI Sunpower 8 x 39w. Should be here Wednesday. Just need to work out which tubes to use now.
