You sniff all your stock before putting it in [015.gif]
Think they can be a bit smelly on occasion as the tube is buried in the sand/rockwork. You should try sniffing a mushy

LOl, don't get me wrong, I am no fishy pervert [019.gif]

When i took it out of the bag it made me gag, admittedly I have a sensitive gag tolerence but it was horrible.

Do I need to bury its "tail" or just wedge it in rock????

either or, if the worm itself is sticking out id bury it in the sand.
I think they preffer this anyway.

Shouldnt smell bad enough to make you gag I wouldnt have thought, suppose it could have expelled some waste possibly
    Cheers

Picked it up to put it in tank and a load of brown crap came out, it looks like an empty tube if you ask me, could it be an empty tube I have been sold???

How long was it in the post it seems like it has decayed and poluted the water it was in.

Had some zoas that got held up over 48 hours in the post and the water stunk like a drain (and they had died).

It may be DOA by the sound of it, if the tube is completely empty and there is no worm in the bag [sad.gif] Have a good look before you chuck it, as they can shrink back into the tube really small, and the brown stuff may well be just waste [001_smile.gif]

I bought it from LFS and only spent just over an hour in the bag.

Not sure what it should look like or feel like but looks and felt empty, how big is the worm???

should be the full length of the tube and the width of the inside of the tube so you shouldn't be able to miss it.
