    Hi

I know will get shouted at but ................. everyone goes on about CUC and big seller but often mis sold. How long tank been running? Should not put in snails until tank mature and limit hermit crabs as often kill each other and snails for their shells. Cleaner shrimps are great and once tank been running awhile have a black cucumber to keep sand clean (ugly beasts but do a grand job). A new tank will go through some stages and can be quite horrible but bide your time don't fill with CUC that will probably die and then choose things that will be a benefit to tank and do a job like bristletooth tang to eat algae, cucumber to clean sand, cleaner shrimps, a couple of hermits to add character (I think hermits are amazing to watch especially when choosing their next home) possibly snails but have to be acclimatised properly and needs certain algaes to eat not usually the pest algaes that people suffer with!!!! Anyway its just an opinion but we get on well like this both at the shop and home.

The tank as has been running for about 5 years the reason why I asked is that a fortnight ago I had white spot and I have one fish in there that I can't find and he was about 6 inches so I thought the more cuc the better as hopefully they would eventually eat him ,at the moment I have 6 red legs and I reef lobster that I dont see but he sheds it's skin now and then.
and as my nitrates are very high it's probably because of the dead fish as I have on 3 left alive after ws

Crabs would be best with dealing with the more fleshy jobs like this instance I would think

Crabs are great for finding meaty bits hey..... I had a false gramma come down with something and died in the day whilst i was at work (R.I.P BOB) but the crabs only ate the purple half of him....

Not sure if they are abit picky.... or maybe i just got home half way through their meal.....
