I have a group of 3 with no issues.

I know people who keep a single male bimac anthia without any trouble.

We initially had 7 bleeding heart anthias in our 6x2x2 tank and we are now down to 4 which are doing really well, the problem we had was that becasue they was young, we was getting more males and they ended up fighting each other, but once we got down to 4 there has been no problems for over a year now.
