im setting up my first tank as most of you know im new to marine and so far everything has gone wrong first my tank stand doors didnt come with my tank today i got my doors and put them on and got my key k3 led light today after a 3 month wait ive opened them and the runners are 24 inch my tank is only 18 inch wide so will have to cut them down plug my lights in and are not working ive got a loss wire in my sps bar i know what it is i just need someone to salder it back and on top of that my deltec skimmer is missing a part and wont be here till next week

Bloomin heck Gaz, thats some bad luck all rolled into one. Stick with it, I bet it's your dad set to try you & he's laughing down at you watching you pull your hair out....
Out of all thats happened you have all of them sorted ie, you know the fault with the lights, your doors will be sorted asap, your skimmer part arrives tomorrow & a hack saw will sort your runners out.

As said Gaz, if it were easy you'd get bored! Stick with it chuck. We all get runs of bad luck from time to time...I'm having a mare with my osaka which looks dreadful at the mo, but I know if I stick with it then it will come back from the dead again and look nice once more. I could have jacked it all in, chucked the aip covered rock out and turned the tank tropical, but I am determined to give it one more go because I am a stubborn old goat at times

Hey gaz,

The rails that come with the key led are adjustable width - have you had a good look?

If that's no good, I have some of the Perspex legs that can be used to rest on the sides of the tank.
