[QUOTE=Phil1971;1037031]Looking at Damsels, soft corals and inverts to start.[/QUOT
I put 2 yellow tail blue damsels in my tank to start with but when i added new fish the damsels attacked them. I got told they think they own the tank if you put them in first.sadly i had to take them out.

Ah... That's not good.. Erm maybe clowns first then....

Or Bangaii, I think they are lovely
one thing that is often overlooked is an auto-topup unit.
Not essential, but makes life easier, and keeps your water at a much more stable salinity.
See Reefloat (advertiser on here) for more details!

+1 on the auto top up!
Also, I would ditch the thermometer and get a temp controller- keeps you temp much more stable.
I would also cost out how much your lfs charges for RO water (and what sort of quality it is!) as compared to purchasing a RO unit.
I can help with the temp controller and RO unit if you are interested.
Cheers...
Daryl

Whilst auto top up is nice it is extra cost. We dont auto top up and our softies are fine with it.
Same with temp controller, great but not essential IMO
Agree with the RO, in the long run it will be cheaper, but it all depends on your budget, there are essentials and then there are luxuries like anything else.
Thank you so much for the advice guys. I stopped off at the lfs on the way home from work and spent some pennies! I'll be starting a tank thread in a few!

woo congrats! looking forward to seeing it
