Just thought i'd share this one!
7th Nov' Got a letter from a company with only an 0800 number on it.
YOU MAY BE VICTIM OF A SCAM CALL THIS NUMBER 0800 blah blah !
And I thought Yeh sure...£5 a minute etc.. and thought no more of it, ignore and it will go away.
Today - Gets a 'RED' Letter, same script, plus an invoice for £800 itemised! 2 cameras, and sh** loads of Addidas stuff !!
After changing my underwear, I decided to go for the £5/Minute call (curiosity and all that). BUT, a very nice man answered the phone, took my details, then explained That it will all be cleared up and they will contact the credit agencies and give me written confirmation of the incident.
Apparently, all the stuff had been sent under my name to some one down south, the bill has come to me, and the police had been contacted.
My call was only 7p/min and the company is legit', VERY.CO.UK, catalogues/Littlewoods.
So Friday for me is going through as much stuff as poss' to cancel/and or change passwords etc. AND, I don't even pay anything on line, still pay my gas over the counter!
Bring back 50p coin meters.
All calm now!

Re: Scam of the Day !
Interesting. The thing is, the company (very.co.uk) are actually the ones who are the victims, and they're implying that it's you. Someone scammed them and got goods from them illegally, you didn't do anything wrong.
No one paid with your card, your card details etc. haven't been compromised (from what I can see), just someone took advantage of Very being useless at credit checks and sending goods to unverified addresses for new customers. The following are wrong...
Bubble Magnus - TMC VectRon - Bailing Lite.
It's Magus, Vecton, and Balling Light. Or at least that's how the manufacturers want to spell it.
Also, it's Jebao, not Jaebo, Jeboa, or any other wrong spelling.
Also, there's no such thing as an Emporer Angel. It's really an Emperor Angel.
