Chromis died

Came down this morning to find my big chromis may tobe on his side not looking well just about to get him out into qt and he died but then 10mins later may the other chromis just died I've done all my test everything is fine I've had these pair since the start over a year any idea why one should die then the other all my stock and corals are looking fine

Sorry to hear this. Cromis are reknown for bullying each other, they often dissapear not to be seen. My seven always used to shoal together, this last month they are all in different parts and usually hiding, I too have no idea whether I still have seven. Quite often there is no reason for it. Ther have been a few threads on chromis and ther demise, and as in your case no reason as to why.

Possible reasons for this could be aggressionand hierarchy, were weaker specimens are attacked by larger, more dominant individuals.

only ever had two in my tank all my fish are doing fine
