hello. I currently have a 23 l fluval edge tank. I have coral and some cuc in this at the moment.

corals:
sun
hammer
gsp
candy cane
pulsing xenia

cuc:

2 red leg hermit crabs
1 blue hermit crab
porcelain crab
2nasurius snails
1 feather duster
turbo snail
bumblebee snail

I am upgrading to a 55l tank and cleaning this tank is doing me head in. I am going to be usng new live sand and some new live rock in my new tank. what I want to know is do I let the tank cycle before I add my live stock or transfer everything over at once so it is like a 50% water change. my problem is my clown fish died of white spot about 1 month ago so I do not want to tranferr this into my new tank. but as I have no fish should I put my cuc in straight away and then my coral when it has cycled. I will be upgrading my lights as the ones in t new tank and standard hood lights so I don't think these will be enough for my coral.

I have a prortien skimmer and a wavemaker that I will be adding so do I add these straight away. I don't want to have two tanks running for a long time and I don't want to transfer all of stock for it to die and I don't want to pass white spot on. I am going away next month so I will not be getting any new fish till I get bk. please help. thank you.

The new setup is coming along nicely, going through its cycle as we speak.

One area of concern though is how quickly the AutoTopUp emptied.......

It is a 25ltr section in the sump with a TMC twin float ATU unit. Now given that I use the second float inverted to prevent the pump running dry I reckon we've used 20ltrs of RO in a week.....

The tank has glass covers and there is no splashing in the sump, the skimmate is quite "dry" at the moment so we are not loosing it from there. Oh and it's running at 24-25deg.

One thing to note though is that the SG has dropped from 1.025 to 1.024.

Do you think that is is possible that the water may have soaked into the LR? Crazy thought?

Sorry forgot total volume of system is 600ltrs before displacement.
