does the 156 mean 156 watts? this looks superb.
How doe it compare to say a halide 150w?
Me thinks if it's comparable I may try one on my frag tank, can you let us in on the price,I checked a US site and after the conversion it was approx £552

Its a lot more powerful than a 150 more like a 400 MH in PAR

LED's convert the electricity into light far more efficiently than MH
hence the reduced heat which is a by product we don't need

60 LEDs running at 2watts each for 120 watts total. The quality of these LEDs appears to be superior. You can get some more info from the website about the Orphek LED aquarium lights.

    Hi Rob,

Pricing for the UK is £749, as mentioned in a previous post it is similar to a 400w halide in PAR

sorry, been busy with work and all.

The transition to the 156 went well. I have lost both of my monticaps. I got them recently and haven't had luck with monticaps in general. The rest of the tank is doing well. The best growth has come from one of my two frags of sunset monti. The one on the right side of the tank has grown about 1/2 inch of white ring around it and just keeps spreading.

The is no heat transfer from these lights to the tank which is great.
