    Default Little Ocean Activated Carbon

Ok i tested this for Toby on my softie tank.

First off i would like to say it is very comparable in quality to carbons that i have paid £24 a kilo for, wheras this is £7 a kilo
LittleOcean Aquatic products - Little Ocean Activated Carbon 1Kg - (Powered by CubeCart)

i found it to be a great size being the extrusions, and very low dust content, i do personally prefer the extrusion size as you can use a larger mesh for the bag.

it cleared my yellow water syndrome within 12 hours, and 4 weks on, water is still crystal clear

i would truly reccomend this as being great quality, not just beacause it is a good price ( which it certainly is) but it does work,

Carbon removes gelbstoff (the compounds that give water in an aquarium the yellow tint), some large organic molecules, medications, chlorine, pollutants and toxins, as well as many other types of chemical elements and compounds from the water that a protein skimmer or another means of filtration may not remove,

don't under estimate the power of good carbon

oh yes, its steam activated too, which makes it Phosphate free

for me the proof is in the fizz

Nev but I read that fizzing has nowt to do with quality.
Activated Carbon in the Marine Tank

I will get some of this to try when I change my carbon.

No bag just the carbon, I have the ntlabs filter bags, the seachem The Bag, you may find those to be a bit fine, I have used a filter sock before now I have some 500 micron which are good to allow flow thru, just cable tie the top shut

Pm for the above bags as they're not on the site yet , apart from the seachem one..
